This Mini Cooper convertible came in looking tired and left looking like it just rolled out of the showroom 😍🔥

We call it the Winter Protection detail, but this one got the full works. Here's everything that went into it 👇

❄️ Winter Protection detail: paint machine polished, then sealed under our 2-year ceramic coating
☂️ Convertible roof deep cleaned, then protected so it shrugs off the weather
🖤 All four wheels refurbished in gloss black
🛞 Wheels fully ceramic coated too
🪞 Passenger side mirror cap replaced, because the old gloss black one was damaged
🛡️ Paint protection film (PPF) on the A pillars and the centre section above the windscreen
🔴 Brake calipers painted gloss black, hubs painted silver
🔩 New locking wheel nuts fitted (more on this below 👀)

The wheels were a big job. They'd had a rough smart repair in the past. Only the faces had been painted black, but with a terrible unglossy finish. Now they're done properly, inside and out.

Then came the locking wheel nuts. A previous garage had over-tightened them so hard the locking keys wouldn't budge. So we sourced a specialist tool, got them off, and fitted a decent new set that'll be much easier to remove in future. Problem solved, and future you says thanks 🙌

This is what we mean by detailing. We're not here to give your car a quick half attempt at a once-over and call it a day. Some places will now call themselves detailers to give themselves a fancier job title (we love you, but we also see you not even attempting to clean the inside barrels of the wheels 😉). We do the bits you can't see as well as the bits you can.

It's also a smart move heading into winter. With the clocks just gone back and the salt, grime and wet on the way, a 2-year ceramic coating plus winter protection makes the car far easier to keep clean and gives the paint a proper layer of defence. Just finished: a Winter Protection Detail on a 6-month-old Tesla Model Y. Look at that gloss! 😍🚗

British winters are rough on paint. Road salt, grime and standing water from October to March don't care how new your car is. And after the summer hosepipe ban, loads of cars missed their proper cleans, so a lot of paint is heading into winter already tired. 🌧️

Here's what this Model Y got:

🧼 Deep clean and gentle hand wash
🔧 Fallout and tar removal, plus clay decontamination
✨ Single-step machine polish to gloss it up and take out light marks
🛡️ DMC 2+ year ceramic coating
🪟 Trims, exhausts, glass and plastics all treated
🚘 Interior clean, vacuum and full wipe down with pH-neutral products

Why ceramic coating? It gives you a slick, glossy layer that helps the water bead off and makes dirt much easier to wash away. And keeping it looking like this is easy. A gentle wash and some basic maintenance products is all it takes. No fancy routine needed. 👌

🐍 NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED. We just stripped a Cobra down to its bones. 🐍

This is a one-off AK Sports Cars Cobra replica with a 6.3 litre V8 up front. It's loud, mean and gorgeous, and we wrapped the whole thing in paint protection film. 🔥

To do it properly, we took it completely apart. Off came the windscreen, wheels headlights, indicators, side repeaters, badges, bumpers and rivets, plus anything else we could safely and professionally remove. 🔧

Why bother? Because it lets us wrap the film around the edges and hide the joins and seams so they're almost invisible. That's the difference between a good install and a proper one. 👌

The aim is a Cobra that stays spotless and looks incredible for years. No stone chips, no brush scratches, no wash damage. 🙌

Interlagos blue manual BMW M3 🔵 One of the good ones. Then someone introduced it to a protein shake. 🥤😬

This beauty came in for a deep clean after sitting for a while, and it turned out a shake had been spilt down the passenger seat and side, soaking the carpet and the seat rails. Gains were not the only thing being made in there. 💪🤢

No glamorous supercar PPF job this time, just a proper, old school, sleeves rolled up rescue mission. We had to take the seat out to get to the root of the problem, then went in with:

🔹 Steam
🔹 Wet extraction
🔹 Loads of specialist cleaners
🔹 Enzyme treatments
🔹 Odour removers

A stunning Tesla Model Y in metallic grey rolled in fresh from the dealership, and the owner made exactly the right call by bringing it straight to us before a single stone chip could even think about touching that paint.

We wrapped the full front end in Paint Protection Film — front bumper, bonnet, both front wings, A pillars, and mirrors — all covered with our optically clear PPF that's virtually invisible and keeps that factory finish looking immaculate for years to come. We also polished out a scratch on the front door to save the customer having to take the car all the way back to the dealership to rectify as they delivered it with the damage.

PPF is the real deal when it comes to protecting your paint from stone chips, road debris, bug splatter, UV fade, and the general punishment our UK roads love to dish out 😅 The film is self-healing too, so light swirls and minor surface scratches just... disappear. Once you know, you know.
