Hi everyone. Just an update unfortuntly Gary has had an accident while we are on holiday in scotland, he is currently in hospital waiting surgery tomorrow. So we are both still up north untill he is discharged and can return home to continue his recovery. He will not be a work for a number of weeks likely at least a month. Please do bere with us, Tracy and Russel are still working and we are arranging for some extra help some days . Understandably some of the work booked for gary will have to be cancelled and I appoligise for this. When Gary has recovered and is able to return to work I will update and we will get people booked back in.
Bookings for routine work will continue but there may be a wait for slots please help where you book well in advance for routine mot 's and service work. The guys at the workshop are trying their best to get work done and back to you as soon as they can.

We are looking for a full time vehicle technician, must be quailified and experanced. Monday to friday. No weekends or bank holidays.
Very good pay, clean tidy working environment and a good team.
Mot tester would be advantageous but not nessecity.

Hi everyone, Firstly,

Happy New Year to all.

Secondly,
I would like to apologise to who may of been offended by my post last year about some other garages which are not in Alresford but tyre companies around out there.
I am truly sorry I may of offended any garages but at the time I was so annoyed with hearing about it time and time again I did not put more detail in my post.
All Alresford garages are here to serve the community as best as we can and glad to say we all do that well as far as I am aware and we all try to help out whenever any of us can.
Increasing prices have made a massive impact in the trade like every thing else but we are all still trying to keep the prices down as best as we can.

Over the past 3 days my wife Amy was at the summer para national championships and has been competing on August and our Horse Toto.
Toto was the new horse we got back in end of last year which caused Amy to be thrown off and break the lower 3 vertebrae in her back. Being such a determined person she recovered and got back on Toto and at spar shot and scored very high in her para dressage and qualified for the championships with the GB team backing her to get there on Toto.

Three months ago we were at Honley at the home nations Dressage Championships and when the garage was open for business and Mots etc with others covering for us.

Amy was chosen by GB organisation for representing the south of England and got overall 2nd place and was riding August who both done so well over the few days there.

At the Para summer national championships over the past 3 days Amy rode 2 horses in different dressage events and the first day got a 1st on both horses in different categories.
Yesterday Amy rode in the silver para dressage championships competing on both August and Toto and rode very well and both horses were outstanding.
Amy got a first on Toto and a close 2nd on August and placed we'll infront of the 3rd place.
Amy is now the Para Summer National Champion of the whole of the UK and what an achievement especially after only being on Toto a few times since the terrible accident back in December last year.

I am so pleased to announce this as Amy has done exceptionally well and trained so hard and now further time training to go further in her Para career.

It gives me great pleasure announcing that at GM Vehicle Services we have to welcome 2 new people starting working for us. Firstly Russell joined us recently who use to work at Alresford Motor Services but after many years with working there has jumped ship and is now working for us and a great add to the team.

Now for the new person starting Tuesday and doing such a vital job at the business front counter who has made a massive step forward leaving a job where she has been for many many years who is kirsty Coles.
She is joining the team and we are all so looking forward to having kirsty joining us, and so many people who already know kirsty from Tescos will see her at GM Vehicle Services and we are very excited we have kirst joining us.

We are also looking for another vehicle technician who is experienced and possibly has an mot licence for testing class 4 and big advantage class 7 testing as well.

Hi all,

I am very sorry that it's been such a manic year so far but we are at GM Vehicle Services trying to get the work done ASAP so to make it easier for everyone to get there car looked at by us. Unfortunately we have a back log now until I am back up to speed after my breaks in my leg but I am back before time and my customers are very meaningful to me as I try to keep their vehicles on the road. Some customers have had to go elsewhere i understand but so far the ones that have seem to of been getting a bit of a raw deal and not being treated in the same way I like to treat them as I value all my customers very highly.
I am truly sorry for the ones that have been taken advantage of and know you value our standards even more.
I am back to work at the moment on light duties and not able to do too much but if anyone else would be in my position they would definitely not be at work.
So many thanks to my customers and hope we can keep the service you are use to going for many years to come. We all try our very best at GM Vehicles to keep your vehicles mobile but at present does not always go to plan.
Please be patient and we will get your vehicle in ASAP and sort it out as normal without you getting stitch up.

Many thanks to all including my team who have been holding the fort when I have had to be off.
My team have been brilliant while I have been off and trying to do everything they can to keep things going.

Please can I ask all our customers to please bear with us, Gary is currently in hospital and may require surgury, we remain open for routine work and MOT'S with the team holding the fort.
I will be contacting any customers with vehicles booked for work with Gary as he will be unable to undertake any work for the time being.
I understand this is frustrating for people needing Gary to do their cars but his health is obviously the most important thing. So please can I ask for a bit of time and understanding during this time.
Our team are working hard to get through the work but please note we are fully booked for over 2 weeks and no extra work can be undertaken during this time.

I will update when I have more news, please be understanding towards our staff they are trying their best to keep your wheels moving.

Well we'll well, this job never stops amazing me. The great diagnosis of the recovery services who diagnosed an alternator required for a lovely vehicle due to not starting. But then when Diagnosed by myself properly for not starting was the fact the con rod is sticking out the side of the engine.
Come on who are these people going to sort these vehicles out working for the emergency services as they are classed as. Such a bad and very sad case.
