We have done a few this year already 997.1TT inlet camshaft actuator fault. The camshaft has a stainless steel sleeve which is pressed into the camshaft and over time these inserts slip and move which in turn restricts the oil to the actuator. This causes power delivery and sluggish behaviour. The engine check light also illuminates with DTC of P0011 / P0021. We can remove the engine and rectify the problem. We insert a roll pin through one of the holes and peen the top over so it can’t move over time.

Porsche 996 3.4L BOSCH ME5.2 Engine control unit (DME) in for a non-start issue. Has been “re-mapped” somewhere and never ran since 😂 using our extensive software created in-house we were able to extract the “map” and also check the data in WinOLS (professional software editor) and found various software calibration checksums in-correct. If the checksum is not correct the vehicle sometimes starts once and will not re-start or point blank not start at all as it is not happy with the data. After installing a genuine Porsche calibration file using the good old PIWIS 2 system tester it got a clean re-install. Next we checked the serial eeprom and found that the immobiliser start code had been reset to all zero’s which is wrong.. that’s how a new unit comes from the factory in readiness for pairing to a car. We always copy these serial eeproms at the start and end of any work we do… a quick check and it confirms it came in like that. So we requested the immobiliser ECU and found that the immobiliser code was correct to factory identification ✅ we corrected the immobiliser coding in the DME and got a full match. Made sure that keys were paired in the immobiliser unit which they were so all good to go back to the customer. This is just one of the many electrical scenarios we get asked to help out with and as the cars are getting older there are few people that would entertain repairing or programming these module sets. Been wanting one of these for quite some time now. Been using one of the “cheap” frames and crappy contact pens which just break and bend. The quality of this frame is absolutely unbelievable. Very heavy and well machined. The contact pens (pogo sticks) are simply the best design I have ever seen. Such serious quality. Thanks to the guys over at for sorting this out - top service as usual. Can’t wait to put it to work. 😃 ⚡️

21 YEARS in business today ! I never set out to build a business I set out to do one thing properly — look after Porsches the way they deserve. Everything since has come from that.

There’ve been long nights, hard jobs, and cars other places had given up on sitting in my workshop at 11pm because I refused to let them beat me. As an independent, no badge on the wall handed me anything. Every bit of this was earned — one car, one customer, one problem solved at a time. There’ve been customers who became friends, cars I’ll never forget, and a few I still think about.

But none of it was done alone.

To my wife Hazel — you’ve carried more of this than anyone will ever see. The patience, the late dinners, the belief in me when I wasn’t sure myself. This is yours as much as mine.

To Jonathan and David — the two men beside me in that workshop every day. You don’t just turn up, you care about getting it right the way I do. I couldn’t ask for a better team to do this with, to the guys that have helped me along the way to build and shape this company to where it has grown to - Thank you so much for all your hard work Kris Rowan, Stuart Swann & Paul Carroll 🍻
