​While I'm busy servicing a fantastic touring caravan out here in the sunshine, it got me thinking... do you actually know what goes into a full caravan service? Or what we are looking for when we check your pride and joy?

​Whether you’re a seasoned tourer or just bought your very first van, a professional service is about way more than just checking the tyres. It’s split into two main areas to keep you safe on the road and comfortable on site:

​✅ The Chassis & Running Gear: We strip down the brakes, check the suspension, inspect the hitch, corner steadies, and ensure the van is 100% roadworthy and safe to tow.

✅ The Habitation Area: This is a full health check of the living space. We test the gas system for leaks, check the 12v and 230v electrics, test water systems, and—most importantly—do a comprehensive damp check to catch any hidden water ingress before it becomes an expensive fix.
