What a lucky guy! This BMW 118D found itself stuck in some flood water after last week's heavy rain and floods. Recovery brought the vehicle home after cutting out and the customer wanted my opinion whether it was salvageable.

Confirmed the engine was not locked which to my surprise it wasn't. Removed air filter and found what looked like a stagnant pond.
Oil flush and changed carried out with a brand new air filter and confirmed no water sitting in intercooler before attempting to start. Engine sounds like new. Suggested to the customer to buy a lottery ticket as these BMWs don't tend to mix with deep water very well.

One very happy customer who has their car back on the road 😃 😊
