Did you spot the developing hazard?

Horses being ridden along a country road can become unpredictable, especially when startled by traffic, noise, or sudden movements.

🐎 Horses may react unexpectedly and move into the road without warning
👀 Slow down early and give riders plenty of space when passing
🚘 Be prepared to stop if a horse becomes unsettled or changes direction suddenly

A calm approach and a little extra patience can help keep everyone safe.

A broken-down HGV on a roundabout can create a serious risk for all road users.

🚛 Anticipate vehicles moving around the obstruction unexpectedly
👀 Scan the roundabout early and look well ahead for developing hazards
🚘 Be prepared for sudden braking, lane changes, or traffic queues

A few extra seconds of observation can make all the difference.
