PRICE REDUCED TO £14,995.

Apart from the fact that I found this car in a dry garage not a barn, it has to be described (almost) accurately as a genuine barn find. Not moved or run even in over 20 years it is registered as Lotus Seven in Silver/Green and accepted into the Lotus 7 club of Great Britain in 1999.

First owner built the car in 1980/1981 then registered for the UK roads on Aug 1st 1985.
2nd owner acquired the car in August 1997
3rd owner in Jan 1998 and is the current registered keeper.

So here is the story, the chassis and most parts were purchased from Caterham during 1980 (Receipts in file). Remainder of parts came from a 1969 Series 3 Lotus 7 which was slightly damaged in a hill climb event, breaking a chassis tube. This car was then built using brand new parts and engine and other items from the hillclimb car and the owner finished the 1982 hill climb season. The 1585 cc Lotus twin cam was competition built, purchased from QED engine builders and the QED data sheet and receipt from 1983 are in the file. That data sheet shows 136 BHP which must be rather impressive in such a light body. MOT certificates from 1992-2003 are in the file along with a rather lovely black and white photo of the car competing at Loton park in 1982. The owner then registered the car for the road in 1985 and enjoyed it then until 1997 when he sold it on. The current owner bought it a year later and enjoyed it a little further although it’s quite short lived hillclimbing career ended in the early 80s.

The car was SORN in 2004 by the 3rd and current owner and has been stored in a dry garage since then until I took it out and moved it to my unit in May 2025.

We haven’t done anything to it, not even cleaned it to preserve it’s status as a barn (garage) find and now it’s over to you to come and have a look at it and see if it’s your kind of thing. I’m selling it on behalf of my friend and customer and just to clarify a few matters. Yes it turns over freely but we haven’t tried to start it. No I’m not selling you just the engine. Yes you can come at look at it at a prearranged time. No I’m not sending you a video, you can come and use your eyeballs. Ring me for a friendly chat though and if I don’t know the answer to any of your questions then I’ll find out for you. £16,995 (now £14,995) and located in Morecambe, Lancashire. Thanks for looking, David.

Ideal rally/race track day project opportunity. Here we have something a little different, a HONDA Accord 2.2I Type R finished in Pirates Black metallic .
This car was part exchanged at our Lancaster HONDA dealership approximately three years ago, since then it has been kept in our unit with a view to restoration that we are just not going to get around to.
The Honda Accord Type R's are quite rare and can be valuable when fully restored.

It is therefore being sold as is as a project. It is in fairly good condition for a car of its age and runs/drives fine.
The body work is OK but has dings, scuffs, scratches and chips all around. Nothing you wouldn't expect on a 21 year old car with 210k on the clock.
The bonnet and rear bumper are originally off a red car ( See pics ).
There a quite a few dings to the roof and the backs of the rear seats have seen better days.
The car has had 13 services up to 157,000 in 2016.

Most importantly the 2.2 VTEC engine runs super smooth and you'll be able to rely on it whatever you decide to do with the car. The car is to be sold as seen with no MOT (we've not even tried to put it through a test but we've no reason to believe it has anything major to stop it from passing). Just message us if you'd like to view the car in Morecambe LA3.

Priced to sell quickly (we need the room) at only £2750 no offers sorry.

We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The long reign of Queen Elizabeth II was marked by her strong sense of duty and her determination to dedicate her life to her throne and to her people. Our thoughts are with the royal family at this difficult time.

I reckon that Jeremy Clarkson chap can be a little divisive sometimes, but love him or loathe him you cannot knock his taste in proper British sports cars (well most of the time anyway). In the 2005 Top Gear awards, Jeremy Clarkson declared the Aston Martin V8 Vantage as Best Sounding Car of the Year and The Coolest Car of the Year, (while the overall award winner was actually the Porsche 911 but let’s not dwell on that!!). Jeremy’s opinion might not convince you to buy this particular Vantage but let’s see if you’re convinced after I’ve rambled on so enthusiastically about it but please let me warn you in advance this car absolutely does it for me and I may get a little emotional in the following few paragraphs.

Registered 02/06/2006 through Reg Vardy Aston Martin in Houghton Le Spring and now covered only 46500 miles. It’s finished in beautiful Derwent green with Moon Shadow Leather interior with Parliament Green Carpets and inner seat stitching, whilst the steering wheel is Obsidian black. It was specced with 19” 7 spoke alloy wheels which present beautifully and has the creature comforts of satellite navigation and cruise control.

The service history is fully detailed below and is really impressive, you know just have to have it on a car like this. There’s one big question that you really should be asking me now…… that is of course, how’s the clutch? Brand new is the answer, replaced 700 miles ago. Obviously we’ve just added 12 months MOT and checked every inch of it to find that it truly is absolutely wonderful.

“How does it drive?” you must by now be demanding to know……….well I’ll tell you. It starts easily on the dash mounted starter button and settles down to a lovely deep bass rhythm immediately. The clutch is actually reasonably light for such a performance unit and first gear engages really smoothly. Gently lift the clutch (when the car is warm enough of course) and the car begins to roll forward in that inexorable way that only refined performance front engined V8 supercars can do. You travel through the gears effortlessly like a thoroughbred racehorse and the power comes in so smoothly and manageably you could be driving a super yacht! Blip the loud pedal on your downshifts and you’ll remind yourself that the 4.3 V8 will get you from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds but otherwise the car is quiet and well sound proofed. You mustn’t be fooled though, this car is simply stunning in the wide power band exploited in 3rd and 4th gears. It is a seriously fast motor car and you need the massive brakes to calm things down a little and save your licence. It’s a massive head turner too which is something you’ll have to get used to. I’m so lucky to drive great looking cars quite often but this seems to have universal approval which I think as much as anything is down to the colour. It’s just gorgeous with a rich deep deep hue that reminds you a little of the halcyon days of proper British racing greens but it’s more than that and just looks dead right on the car.

Finally, does it make sense financially? Well the value of this car is now beginning what was always the obvious journey back Northwards. It has increased in value over the last year and with interest rates in savings accounts so low and the value of Aston Martin cars always strong and further strengthening, who would bet against the 4.3 V8 Vantage being like money in the bank? Interest in this car will be massive so please be patient when you request a viewing. £32,995 and we’d love a part exchange, classic or otherwise. Thank you very much for reading.
