WE DID IT 🎉

Together, we raised an incredible £16,584 (+GiftAid) for St David’s Hospice Care.

From the spin bikes to the raffle, the food, the music, and most importantly, the people, the whole day was something really special.

The team are off to a flying start in memory of DJ Williams! 🚴🏼‍♂️ All six bikes have been kept spinning for the first 4 hours (just 8 to go!), and the donations just keep coming!

The team have raised over £6,000 (total)so far for St David's Hospice Care - a huge milestone 👏 Come and support, and enjoy our Fundraising Day, including kids activities 🎨, a bake sale 🧁, burgers and bacon sarnies 🍔 and all the tunes to keep the legs spinning until 7pm! 🎵

On Saturday 14th March, we’ll be bringing people together at Monmouth MOT Centre for A Day for DJ; a day to celebrate life, share stories, and show support for DJ’s chosen charity, St David’s Hospice Care.

In place of a traditional wake, DJ’s family, friends, and favourite customers will gather to create a day that focuses on togetherness; celebrating his life, the impact he had on so many people, and the community he was such a big part of.

On the day, you can expect:
• Family-friendly activities throughout the day
• A 12-hour spin-bike challenge led by the Monmouth MOT team
• A charity raffle with some fantastic prizes
• Food and drink available throughout the day
• The chance to come together and share memories with others who knew DJ

We’re bringing the community together for a fundraising day in memory of DJ Williams; a day to celebrate life, share stories, and show support for his chosen charity - St David’s Hospice Care.

It is with great sadness that we share that DJ Williams, a well known part of the Monmouth MOT Centre team, passed away this weekend after suffering from terminal lung cancer.

DJ Williams of Monmouth, Wales (he’d love that title!), needs no introduction. Known and loved by everyone, DJ can quite honestly be described as the life and soul, with a story and a smile for everyone.

✨ In DJ’s memory, his family and friends from Monmouth MOT will be hosting a fundraising day to invite all who knew him to come together as a community - to celebrate life, show support, and share memories about DJ ✨

📅 Saturday 14th March�📍 Monmouth MOT Centre

In place of a traditional wake, the family wanted to create a day that focuses on togetherness; celebrating DJ’s life, the impact he had on so many people, and the community he was so much a part of.

🎀 We are fundraising in support of St David’s Hospice Care, which has helping the family through one of the hardest times. DJ lived the last 6 months with terminal lung cancer, and the care he received has gone far beyond medical support alone. Hospice care offers comfort, dignity, and reassurance; not just for those facing a life-limiting illness, but for their loved ones too.

From managing pain and symptoms to offering emotional, social, and practical support, hospice teams are there when it matters most. They create a calm, welcoming environment where people are treated as individuals, not patients, and where families feel supported every step of the way.

Please help ensure that this incredible care can continue for others who need it now and in the future.
