Does your Mercedes C-Class W205 radio screen look like this?
If so, 90% of the time it’s a simple software update!
We’ve just carried out a 1-hour factory software update and it’s now all working perfectly again 👍
Just a heads-up — sometimes you’ll need a new navigation SD card afterwards, which has to be purchased from Mercedes.

What a machine 🔥
This stunning C63 S First Edition has rolled into LT Elston Garage for its MOT, a new front splitter (the old one had seen better days), and a full general check-over.
Matte grey, yellow accents, black wheels with yellow lips… pure AMG attitude. There’s just something special about these First Edition cars.
We’ll get her sorted and looking sharp again.

Still can’t quite believe it.
We’ve never once asked a customer to leave a review. I actually hate it when places push for them, so we just get our heads down, do the job properly, and hope people are happy.
Looking at the reviews though… I’m pretty sure most of them are for my lovely wife Tanya. She’s the real secret weapon around here ❤️

Tough day for this W176 A-Class 😬
Customer hit a boulder in the road and it took out the front radiator crossmember/support and the engine sump. We felt terrible for her — nobody wants that kind of unexpected damage.
Thankfully it was all repairable rather than a write-off. New front cross brace fitted and a fresh engine sump installed, so she’s back on the road where she belongs.
Always a good reminder how one bad pothole or obstacle can cause serious underneath damage. Drive carefully out there!

☀️ Time for a little recharge! ☀️
After two years of opening the doors, putting in the crazy hours, and giving everything we’ve got, we’re taking a short break next week.
We’ll be closed from Monday 3rd August so we can rest, recharge the batteries, and finally celebrate our 3rd anniversary (a few weeks late, but better late than never!).
Thank you so much to every single one of our amazing customers for the support, the loyalty, and the laughs over the last couple of years. We really couldn’t have done it without you.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes – we’ll be back refreshed and ready to go as soon as the break is over.

Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG – Adaptive (active) anti-roll bar bleed procedure after rear bar replacement.
Another garage fitted a new rear adaptive anti-roll bar but didn’t properly bleed the hydraulic system. Here’s the correct bleeding process to restore full function, eliminate residual air, and ensure the active anti-roll system operates as designed.

GLA exhaust flap actuator replacement
This GLA had been dropping into limp mode every now and then, felt generally off to drive, and had the engine management light on.
Culprit turned out to be a failed exhaust flap actuator.
Old unit out, new one fitted, and the car is now back to driving as it should — no more limp mode or warning light.
Nice straightforward job once you get underneath.
