Not every day a service comes with a side of pest control 🐭😂

This one came in for a routine service and we spotted a nest tucked away inside, full of shredded paper and receipts. A bit more digging and we found the little lodger hiding behind the boot liner!

Don't worry, no mice were harmed. We caught him and released him into the forest, where he belongs. All part of the service at LT Elston Garage 🔧

If your car's been parked up for a while, it's worth a quick check. Mice love a warm, quiet hiding spot, and they'll chew through wiring too 👀

🛠️ CLS rear subframe replacement today
This one came in with a corroded hole in the rear subframe — not something you want to ignore. We’ve stripped it out, fitted a new subframe, replaced the broken springs, and got everything back together properly.
Finished off with a full four-wheel alignment so it’s tracking straight and ready for the road again.
Another job done the right way. If your car’s showing signs of corrosion, broken springs, or just doesn’t feel right, drop us a message — we’re here to sort it.

Mercedes GLA came in from another garage requesting an engine software update 🔧
On diagnosis we found a fault for the inlet manifold. After checking the vehicle over we could see a brand new inlet manifold had already been fitted… but it was aftermarket.
We ran through all the tests (wiring, sensors, etc.) and confirmed the new aftermarket inlet manifold was faulty.
We replaced it with a genuine Mercedes-Benz inlet manifold and the car is now running perfectly again ✅
Moral of the story: Always use genuine Mercedes parts — especially when it’s an electrical component 👍

Does your Mercedes C-Class W205 radio screen look like this?
If so, 90% of the time it’s a simple software update!
We’ve just carried out a 1-hour factory software update and it’s now all working perfectly again 👍
Just a heads-up — sometimes you’ll need a new navigation SD card afterwards, which has to be purchased from Mercedes.
