BMW doesn’t make it easy for independent garages to get this equipment.

But we finally got it.

This is BMW’s high voltage diagnostic equipment, supplied directly by BMW, and it allows us to diagnose high voltage faults across BMW and MINI electric and hybrid vehicles.

More importantly, we can now go inside the battery itself, diagnose individual cell modules and replace them where required.

It wasn’t cheap. It wasn’t easy to get.

But if we want to properly look after the next generation of BMWs, this is the level we need to be at.
