It looks like Spring is finally here.

Did you know that Spring is actually one of the smartest times to get your car into a garage, and not just because the weather’s nicer.

After winter, your car has usually taken a bit of a beating. Cold temperatures, potholes, road salt, and damp conditions all accelerate wear. Suspension components (like shocks, springs, and links), brakes, and tyres often come out of winter worse for wear—sometimes without it being immediately obvious while driving.

Spring is also a good time to catch issues early. For example, worn shock absorbers or damaged suspension parts might not fail outright in winter, but they’ll only get worse. Fixing them now can prevent bigger repairs (and higher labour costs) later.

There’s also a practical angle: garages tend to get busier heading into summer holidays, so sorting maintenance in spring means better availability and less urgency.

What an incredible first two weeks at Rotherfield Garage!

We honestly can’t quite believe how amazing our first couple of weeks have been. The welcome we’ve received has been overwhelming, and we’ve already fallen a little bit in love with the people of Easebourne, Midhurst and the surrounding areas.

John, Cris and I (Holly) will do a proper introduction over the next few weeks, but for now we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone we’ve met so far — your kindness, support and lovely conversations have meant more to us than you know.

We’d also like to say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already donated toiletries to our My Sisters House donation box. These donations go such a long way in supporting women and families, and we’re so grateful for your generosity.

Here’s to many more weeks like this — we’re so excited to be part of this community 💗
