🚗 Driving Test Myths – Busted! 🚗
• ❌ “You must steer at 10 and 2”
Any safe, controlled method is fine — push-pull, shuffle, or one-handed when appropriate. Control matters, not clock faces.
• ❌ “You have to exaggerate mirror checks”
You don’t. Examiners spot natural eye and head movement. Overdoing it looks forced.
• ❌ “Don’t take your test on a Friday — all the passes are gone”
There are no pass quotas. Every test is marked on your driving only.
• ❌ “The test is harder if you don’t use your instructor’s car”
False. Private car or instructor’s car makes no difference. Same standards, same marking.
• ❌ “Examiners want to fail you”
They don’t. A pass makes their day easier. Fails mean more paperwork.
• ❌ “If you stall, you’ve failed”
Not always. Stalling happens. It’s how you deal with it that matters.
• ❌ “If you go the wrong way, that’s a fail”
Wrong route is fine. Dangerous decisions aren’t.
• ❌ “Drive really slow so you can’t fail”
Driving too slowly can be just as bad as driving too fast and can be a serious fault.
