*** Hot weather and fridges ***

Your caravan and motorhome fridges will be struggling to cope in this heat. There are a few things that you can do to help -

1) Park with the fridge vents in the shade.
2) Remove the external grills to allow easier air flow.
3) Blow air in via the the lower vent. You can use a dometic fan, buy a fridge vent kit or make a fan from a computer fan and powerbank. (For mains electric use only).
4) Freeze some freezer blocks overnight and put them in the refrigerator section during the day.
5) Use gas rather than electric. There is more energy in the gas burner therefore it can cool more efficiently.
6) Buy a bag of ice from the supermarket and put it in the fridge.
7) Keep the fridge well stocked.
