The DVSA-developed Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 & 7) is a recognised qualification for MOT Tester applications. Candidates meeting all DVSA requirements may conduct statutory vehicle inspections. The qualification is valid for life, but testers must complete annual DVSA training & assessment to retain their status.

You must complete the online MOT Assessment annually between 1 April and 30 March. If you do not pass, the DVSA will suspend your MOT tester status. The course includes your annual training and assessment. Three hours of instructor-led training, followed by the annual assessment, gives you the best chance of passing first time.
Online test codes are also available from MMS.
