Good Morning everyone,

Just to let all you lovely people know that from today I am taking a little break for the rest of the week and taking the mini boss to the seaside! 🌊☀️

I will still be picking up messages as soon as I can, but there may be a bit of a delay in getting back to you.

🤬 "Mock Tests" Should NOT be an expensive Add On 🤬

I noticed this morning that a National Driving School was looking to charge over £60 for a 1 hour mock test 😲

In my opinion, this is something your instructor should be doing as part of your preparation in the run up to test and this should be included in the price and lesson you have on a weekly basis.

A proper mock test should NOT be an expensive add-on.

A mock test should be:

✅ Done under test conditions or as close to as possible
✅ Cover the roads from possible test routes and cover the manoeuvres you might get
✅ Followed by a proper debrief at the end so you know exactly what to work on
✅ Built into your lessons when you're at test standard

This is how I have always done it and how I will continue to do it. No extra charge, just part of making sure you are fully ready for the big day.

If you're paying for lessons, you should NOT have to pay extra to find out if you're ready for your test 💪🚗

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR? 🚗💨

A common conversation that comes up with my learners is about what car they want when they pass, orwhat their mates have got as their first car.

Made me think about mine...

Mine was a Red 1998 Vauxhall Corsa. Nothing special, a bit of a shed if I'm honest, but it did me for 12 months and got me everywhere I needed to go!

Its time for that Perfect Drive feeling again and this time the congratulations go to Greta Buckler.

Greta passed her MANUAL driving test this morning in Chesterfield, however it was not just any old pass as she managed to smash it FIRST TIME with ZERO FAULTS. An absolutely flawless deive and very well deserved.

It has been a pleasure teaching you Greta, with many good laughs and rants along the way.
All the best for the future and thank you for the beers, I will be enjoying them this evening 🍻

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Grace Pidcock for not only passing her manual driving test this morning in Chesterfield but doing it on her FIRST ATTEMPT with ZERO FAULTS! 🎉🚗

Absolutely incredible result Grace, a perfect drive when it mattered most, you should be very proud of yourself 😊

I have genuinely enjoyed teaching you and I'm going to miss the many, many laughs along the way.

On a big day for a lot of people getting their A-Level results, it was a HUGE day for Evelyn Jones who took her manual driving test in Chesterfield this afternoon!

I am absolutely delighted to announce that she SMASHED IT - passing on the very FIRST ATTEMPT 👏🚗

Such a brilliant drive and so well deserved. Enjoy the freedom and well done for all the hard work you put in.
