I am delighted to have sponsored the team for the D Gunn triples at our own Green in Conon
Thanks to Kenny Mitchell and our Skip Colin Leeper for all the effort today. Thats the last 3 Open competitions at our Green that we have been beaten in the Final.We won our section with 3 out of 3 wins. Won our quarter final against Glenurqhart then in the semi we played our own team mates in Stephen Macdonald, Ali Matheson and Gary Campbell and won that just may I add. And into the Final looked good with 2 end to go and we lose a 6 .So close but so far. Congratulations to Strathpeffer on their win and for all who stayed behind to watch.

Congratulations to Flora Sutherland on passing her test 1st time in Inverness and yet another Zero Faults recorded that's 2 in 2 weeks. The sun shone in the capital as the ever smiling Flora turned on the style to really impress her Examiner what a performance. Super proud of you and taking everything in your stride giving 💯 % to the very end.
Thanks to Flora's father Scott for helping with extra practice and her brother Conner for providing insight after passing with us in January this year.

Congratulations to Mollie Parker on passing her Driving Test 1st time in Sunny Alness today. 🌞. Full of praise her Driving Examiner said Brian this was almost another Zero Minor but she got just the one. So close. Best wishes for the future Mollie and wish you well for the future. Hopefully you will get back to fitness shortly and get back into the Cricket.

Congratulations to Jack Fisher for keeping his nerve and producing a quality drive on his driving test in Inverness. Not only did he pass 1st time he also had NO FAULTS recorded which is a tremendous achievement for which he should be be very proud of.
Looking forward to seeing you out on the road. Many thanks to his Grandfather Les Who worked hard and helped out a lot 👍

On Thursday I made the trip up to the Viewpoint on the Struie Road B9176 to photograph 📸 my new car which will be used for Driving Tuition as of tomorrow.
I am sure the pupils will be delighted with it and all the new technology that is available.
When I started giving Driving lessons in May 1984 this is where I took my very first car to do the exact same. It was a Red Nissan Sunny reg No A308 EJS and that is when Maryburgh School Of Motoring was established. The car was supplied by the late Jimmy Ross salesman with Robertson & Porters, Station Road Dingwall. Wow how time as flown by. I am delighted to say that we are now in a position to take on new students.

Starting out in agriculture? 🚜

Here's what you need to know about driving a tractor on the road. 👇

If you're learning to drive a tractor and don't yet have a Category B (car) licence, you'll need to pass a Category F tractor test before you can take it on public roads.

During the test, an examiner will make sure that you have the skills and knowledge to drive safely, so it's worth understanding what can sometimes go wrong and how to avoid it.

Some key things to get right:

✅ Always check all around you before moving off, including looking at your mirrors and blind spots. Only go when you're certain it's safe

✅When reversing, keep things slow, steady and controlled

✅ Keep looking around when reversing and be ready to stop if anything changes

✅Check your mirrors early when slowing down or stopping and make sure your signals are clear and timely

✅At junctions, look both ways carefully and take your time to judge the traffic properly

Getting these things right won't just help you pass, they'll keep you and everyone around you safer every day on the road.

Congratulations to Alasdair Stennett who has just passed his test 1st time in Ullapool this afternoon .It was a good steady drive in a busy village picking up just 2 minors on the duration of the test.
