A throwback to 1988. This was the staff line up at Speeds Volvo Mansfield on Commercial Gate, Nottingham Road. The photograph has been taken from a scrap book collection , put together by the late Ted Speed, founder of Speeds Motor Group and currently being collated by Mike Dabell. You may spot a familiar face (or two for the sharpest of eyed amongst you) that were also around at Clayton’s in Mansfield.
Happy days… wish we could buy that 340 for £8585 new today!!

One of our favourite Volvos, now moved onto a new retailer. 2023 S60 B5 mild hybrid all wheel drive Geartronic auto. 250 Bhp, smooth quiet power train, fairly rare, assembled in Volvo’s North American , Ridgeville, South Carolina plant, sadly, no longer produced for the UK. We took her from 4,000 miles to just over 13,000 in a year.

28 today!! Our S90 SE is celebrating its 28th Birthday today. I handed her over to her original keeper on “new registration day”, August 1st 1997.

Volvo EX90 wins World Luxury Car title!

Our all-electric VolvoEX90 is the most impressive new luxury car launched in the past 12 months, says the World Car Awards expert jury.

“We’re pleased to see the EX90 get the recognition it truly deserves,” says CEO Håkan Samuelsson. “It was up against some tough competition, but this award proves that the EX90 appeals to some of the most demanding customers across the world.”

We’ve just acquired a P1 V70.it’s a car that we’ve known for a long time, owned by the previous keeper for 20 years plus. It’s been standing still for the last few years but is absolutely original in every way. Are these the best V70’s ever produced? P1, P2 or P3 ?? Which do you prefer?
