Defender 2.4 in for a remap after already having a select few upgrades fitted

Now it’s finally come to us for the final touch to bring everything together 👌

The 2.4 might not produce massive bhp numbers, but it does torque very well This one is capped at 460 Nm and pulls hard smooth and controlled

Most importantly the throttle response is now much nicer helping resolve that jerky pedal feel these can suffer with.l

A proper usable upgrade not just a number on a screen

Real feedback after 7 months and 12,000 miles 👌

This L322 4.4 TDV8 came in for a custom remap and the results speak for themselves.

Smoother low down torque
Stronger mid range
Better drivability
More confidence overtaking

A massive thank you to Dennis for taking the time to leave such a detailed review.

Range Rover L322 in with us for an Apple CarPlay / Android Auto upgrade.

The aim with jobs like this is simple, bring the tech up to date without losing what makes the vehicle feel right in the first place.

This setup retains the standard functions and original switch gear, so everything still works as it should while giving you the usability of a modern head unit. Clean, tidy and how it should have come from factory 👌

A proper OEM style upgrade for a proper vehicle.

That moment you have an idea and have to build a 8hp drivetrain on the bench just to prove it’s a good one 👀

Tuning is one thing but sometimes the real fun starts before the vehicle even gets near the road some say it’s the journey but surely pulling your hair during the journey isn’t the plan 🤣

Measure it mock it up make it fit work out the problems before they become problems

This is normally the part where a simple idea turns into a full blown mission 😂

Building customer cars and adding things they never had from factory always leads to one thing…

More wiring 🤣

Reverse camera double din head unit crossovers amps USBs extra switches… an somehow it all has to fit in the same space Land Rover already made tight with just the original ISO plugs

So while we’re building them out we’ve started making tidy little infill panels to keep everything contained and stopping the wiring spilling over and make the install look a lot cleaner behind the dash

Not the most glamorous part of a build but it’s the sort of detail that makes a massive difference

Question is…

Do we need to start listing these on the website? 👀

Out with the old, in with the rebuilt…

Haha, if only it was ever that quick and easy 😅

A proper engine swap is never just a case of pull one out and throw another one in.

✅ Old engine out
✅ Time to start the rebuild so this vehicle retains the correct numbers
✅ Everything checked and measured
✅ Then to do our own few special tweaks that work so well with these

This is the bit people don’t always see. The time, the checking, the cleaning, the little jobs that make the difference between “it runs” and “it’s right”.

Another Land Rover getting the proper treatment in the workshop 👌

Tuning is only one part of the job…

When TD5 ECUs come in with communication issues previous repairs damaged tracks or component faults a normal diagnostic plug in only gets you so far

This is where the proper investment matters

Not just in tools but in testing procedures bench equipment microscope work and knowing what you’re actually looking at when the lid comes off

✅ Microscope inspection
✅ Component level repairs
✅ Track and board fault finding
✅ Bench testing
✅ No communication diagnostics
✅ Previous repair correction
✅ MSB and NNN ECU support
✅ Software immobiliser and remap work

These ECUs are getting older now and some of the faults are buried far deeper than a fault code

Anyone can flash a file

But when it doesn’t communicate when it’s been badly repaired or when the board itself has issues…

How far does your tuner actually go? 👀

D2s really are the go to Landy for laning 👌

They seldom get treated with the same love as a Defender but anyone who’s actually used one properly off road knows how capable they are

Comfortable enough to drive there, plenty of room for gear and when the tracks get rough they just get on with it

Defenders might get all the attention, but let’s be honest… you’ll probably have more fun in a D2 anyway haha 👀😏
