We saw a Golf for the first time with a complaint, the customer told us that they went over a really small bump and then the steering felt weird. The owner had taken the car to a well known UK wide repair centre, who said they couldn’t do the repairs as they could not find the problem but it should be ok to take elsewhere🤯. In all the years in the trade I have never seen a suspension arm as bad, this car was dangerous and the car had only been MOT’d in September so wasn’t a historical problem. Needless to say we replaced the arm quickly and sent the car on its way🧰🔧
My point is there needs to be regulations in our trade, that is why personal recommendations and recognised organisations such Which trusted trader are important to us at Andrew’s Auto Repairs; as would you let an unqualified doctor diagnose your health? but unfortunately anyone can work on car and the car in this case was a 2 Ton weapon until it was repaired!
