🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Our Preston Depot!

Today marks 20 years since our Preston depot at Millennium City Park officially opened its doors in 2006!

Before moving to our purpose-built facility, the team operated from our Red Scar Industrial Estate location, on the eastern outskirts of Preston, for almost two decades, building strong relationships and delivering trusted support to commercial vehicle customers across the region.

In 2006, operations were consolidated at our custom-built, 24-hour workshop at Unit 4, Millennium City Park, Ribbleton, marking an exciting new chapter for the business.

Since opening, our Preston depot has continued to provide outstanding aftersales support and new vehicle sales solutions to the commercial vehicle sector across Preston, Lancashire and the Fylde.

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to being the “Best Supplier to the Best Customer.” Our knowledgeable and dedicated team works hard every day to deliver the highest levels of service, expertise and customer care.

A huge thank you to our customers, employees and partners who have been part of our journey, from our days at Red Scar Industrial Estate to 20 years at Millennium City Park.

Presented to the customer by Neil Crook, our Customer Solutions Manager, this one has been a real labour of love. Neil has been involved every step of the way, from the initial order and build process right through to seeing the finished vehicle come to life in all its glory.

🚛 Another quality used truck handover!

Paul from Preston-based Groundworks (North West) Ltd has taken delivery of a Volvo FMX 460hp 8x4 tipper truck, supplied by Jack Moss, Regional Used Truck Sales Executive at Thomas Hardie Commercials.

The truck features an aluminium body, complemented by Alco wheels supplied by TyreTracks, and comes with 24 months of Volvo Approved Driveline Warranty for added peace of mind.

This marks MJS Groundworks Northwest Ltd’s first truck purchase from Thomas Hardie, and we’re delighted to welcome them as a customer. We look forward to building a strong, long-term partnership and supporting them with their future vehicle requirements.

Ramsay Timber Ltd has taken delivery of this striking Volvo FM 6x2 Rigid with rear air suspension, powered by a 380hp engine complete with Volvo Engine Brake, supplied by Neil Crook, Customer Solutions Manager – Preston.

Built to a high specification, the vehicle features an I-Shift gearbox, side air deflectors, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, LED headlights, red seat belts and satellite navigation.

Driver and pedestrian safety are also a priority for Ramsay Timber specifying the factory fitted camera monitoring system and a 4-way camera system supplied and installed by Thomas Hardie Vehicle Solutions, alongside a left-turn alarm.

As a long-established timber importer and bespoke wood machining specialist, Ramsay Timber takes great pride in serving the diverse needs of joiners, builders, craftsmen and woodworking enthusiasts.

After more than 23 years of loyal service to Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd, Phil Allen, Technician at our Trafford Park depot, has decided it’s time to hang up his overalls, pack away his toolbox for the last time and begin his well-deserved retirement!

Phil joined the company in 2003, initially based at our Stockport branch, before transferring to Trafford Park in 2009, where he has continued to be a valued member of the team.

Well-liked by all his colleagues and always ready with a smile, Phil will certainly be missed by everyone. It’s never easy saying goodbye to such a lovely gent, but we’re delighted he now has the time to enjoy the things he loves most.

We’re sure retirement won’t mean putting his feet up for too long! Between spending time travelling, and tackling the endless list of odd jobs he always seems to have on the go, Phil is sure to keep himself busy!
