I am making a few minor adjustments going forward, to deliver a better service for everybody. Firstly, if you book a block and don't want to continue for whatever reason please don't ask for a refund. You couldn't do this to any other small business, unless there is a very good reason like serious illness. Please don't be more than 15 minutes late without letting me know in advance, you will forfeit your lesson if you are. For my part I will let you know if I am going to be more than 10 minutes late, I can't avoid traffic conditions. Best wishes. Carol

So as we enter the new year I would like to thank all my pupils, past and present. All the families and friendship groups I have had the pleasure of teaching and all their supportive families and friends. It's been a very successful year, a little quiet on the test front mostly due to long waiting lists. However 90%, much higher than the national average, have passed this year. Well over half first time. Well done everybody 👏 👍 🙌

Now that the nights are drawing in I have come to a decision. I no longer feel comfortable, physically or mentally teaching in the dark. I will of course continue to teach during the day. Monday to Saturday, but ideally not Wednesday. Thank you for understanding

Another lovely first time pass today. Maddie wasn't sure of herself, even two weeks ago she wanted to put her test off. I convinced her to have a go, she smashed it only 3 tiny faults. On a slightly less positive note, please don’t compare yourself and your progress to your friends. Trust the system, it's worked for over thirty years

Lovely 1st time pass, with only 2 minor faults this morning. I have known Charlie's Dad for a number of years, it's always so nice to have a connection. The examiner said 'nice drive'. Nice drive indeed

Unfortunately today, for the first time in over three decades, I have had to cease teaching a pupil due to professional differences. It is very important that people are honest and upfront about their previous driving history. It is also important that you don't become increasingly argumentative, fortunately I was driving at the time or the situation would have turned dangerous. I have had a very long successful career, trust the system and my judgement. Best wishes always.

Happy New Year everybody. Again it's been an incredibly successful year. Over 80% of my pupils who took their test passed, over half first time with very few minor faults. Far in advance of the National average which remains at around 50%. It has been a real privilege as always to teach people from the same extended families and friend groups, it's always nice to have the connection
