Customer asked us to check out a Vauxhall Vivaro with a Engine running rough.

Plugged on Diagnostics and found that Cylinder 1 and 2 where misfiring

Checked the feeds to Injectors (Ok) then checked resistance of Injectors and found Cylinder 1 Injector short circuit to Earth and the Cylinder 2 Injector Open circuit.

Replaced both Injectors and vehicle runs like brand new 👌👍

Indicators flashing fast

Checked and noticed vehicle had LED rear lights fitted without load resistors which causes a resistance problem for the Flasher Unit thinking there is a Bulb out.

Supplied and fitted Load resistors to both rear lamps and Indicators flashed correctly 👍

This Vehicle can now have its VOSA test ✅👌

VW Golf 1.4 16v TSI

Delayed start up & Engine warning light on

Vehicle already been into another Garage

Plugged on Texa Diagnostics
Fault code
P0343 Valve timing sensor (Camshaft sensor)

When we checked for the 5v feed and Earth to the Camshaft sensor we found that someone had changed the Plug & wired up the feed and earth wire incorrectly.

We corrected this by rewiring the plug the correct way.👍

How the Camshaft sensor should be wired

Pin 1 - 5v feed
Pin 2 - signal wire back to ECU
Pin 3 - Earth

We then cleared the codes and Vehicle start up was Instant and we had no Engine warning light on

Job done 👌✅
