This week we attended a 2019 BMW X5 M50d that was suffering from reduced power and an engine management light on the dashboard.

After carrying out diagnostics, we found the fault was related to the inlet manifold swirl flaps sticking, a common issue that can seriously affect engine performance and efficiency.

Jaguar Back on the Road After Major Turbo Failure! 🔧🚗

This week, JM Auto Repairs carried out a major repair on a 2019 Jaguar F- Pace at the customer's home.

The vehicle suffered a catastrophic turbocharger failure when the impeller shaft snapped inside the turbo. This caused the engine oil to be forced through the exhaust system, contaminating and blocking the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).

To get this Jaguar running properly again, we carried out:

✅ Brand new turbocharger replacement
✅ New DPF filter fitted
✅ Full system checks and testing
✅ All work completed at the customer's chosen location

After the repairs, the vehicle was running perfectly again with power restored and no fault codes present.

🔧 Another wetbelt replacement completed, this time on a Vauxhall Grandland!

This one came in for routine maintenance — the belt wasn’t too bad yet, but it had started to crack and was beginning to slightly block the oil pickup. Catching these early can save a lot bigger and more expensive problems down the line 👌

This Peugeot 5008 1.2 PureTech came to us showing early signs of wetbelt cracking due to high mileage. Catching these issues early is key to preventing serious engine damage and costly repairs 🚗🔧

🚐 Renault Trafic Turbo Replacement Completed 🚐

Another vehicle back running as it should after this 2016 Renault Trafic came to us with a noisy turbo and excessive shaft play causing a serious lack of power and risking major engine damage if left any longer.

This Citroen C4 Cactus came in with the usual wet belt cracking starting to show — something we see all too often on these engines.

Left too long, it can cause serious damage, so it was caught just in time 👀
