Andy, has been notified by Drive my Pride and Joy and receives the booking request, he remains in control of the time and date for the experience and accepts it.

Kevin logs on and browses through lists of dream classic cars he can book for a passenger ride.
Andy has registered his classic car and price, and will soon have it earning him extra income, once a booking is made.

Meet Kevin and Andy. Kevin doesn't have time or space to own a classic car, but would like to experience many different classics without the ownership expense. Andy's classic car is his Pride and Joy but he doesn't use it enough to justify the expense.

That’s where Drive My Pride & Joy comes in, a platform that connects classic car owners with enthusiasts, giving owners a way to earn extra income while sharing their cars with people who truly appreciate them.

The DVLA has made some big changes to classic car registrations - are you affected?

From Tuesday, 26th August, new policies will come into effect for registering repaired, restored, and modified vehicles. This replaces the previous rules with two new sets of guidance applying to all vehicles, regardless of age.

Key changes include:
🚘 Like-for-like repairs and restorations will no longer require notification to DVLA, providing the vehicle’s appearance is the same as when it was originally manufactured and there are no changes to the log book (V5C).

🚘 Vehicles that have been subject to significant structural modifications will be able to keep their original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and registration number, but the registered keeper must notify DVLA of the changes

🚘 Vehicles that have been converted to electric will also be able to retain their original identity, but the registered keeper must notify DVLA of the changes.

What a day! We had a brilliant time at this year’s ! It was great to meet so many classic car owners who share our passion for these vehicles and motoring in general. We were able to swap stories, and share what Drive My Pride & Joy is all about: connecting car owners with people who want to experience the thrill of a passenger ride in a proper classic.

The response was fantastic, loads of interest, great conversations, and plenty of excitement about the community we're building. A big thanks to the pageant organisers for another fantastic show and also to everyone who gave us some time to chat. See you at the next show!
