Before the Corsa, there was the Nova.

Launched in the 1980s, the Vauxhall Nova became one of those cars that seemed to be everywhere. Compact, simple and affordable, it helped shape small-car motoring for a whole generation.

As the years moved on, the Nova made way for the Corsa, carrying that same small-hatchback formula into a new era with more comfort, more technology and a completely different look.

From the boxy charm of the Nova to today’s modern Corsa, it’s quite a transformation.

And with Vauxhall now part of the Haynes story, there’s plenty of heritage for us to look back on.

This photograph captures Trevor Hopkins in the Haynes Ford RS200, leading the British field into the first corner at Croft during the 1993 British Rallycross Championship.

Trevor enjoyed a fantastic season behind the wheel of the Haynes-liveried RS200, taking victories at Lydden Hill and Mondello Park and finishing the year as Class A Outright Winner and Overall Runner-Up.

A brilliant reminder of Haynes' motorsport heritage, and one seriously iconic rallycross machine. 🔥
