🔥Let’s go racing for round 7 of this seasons blistering series, anyone can enter, all age groups and abilities, really helpful team of volunteers at our club and each hosting track to help ensure you have a fantastic day of racing in this amazing sport.

🚨You have till 18:00 on Saturday to enter online. You cannot enter on the day this season. There isn’t a separate Novice category this year either, so everyone in the same age races together.

🗺️ Bath Race Track: BA2 2PR which is approximately 1 hour 45 mins from our track.

🏁 RACE DAY:
Sunday 28 June
▪️9:30am-11:00am - Track practise
▪️11:30am-3:30pm - Racing (Motos & Finals)

We’ll post on Thursday about a decision for the sessions that evening, as forecast is that it will be hotter again! 🥵🥵🥵

✳️ TRACK SESSION: £3 member/local | £4 non-members
✳️RACE BMX BIKE: hire £2 member/local | £3 (first come basis)

✳️FULL FACE HELMET: hire £1 member/local | £2 non-member (first come basis)
✳️TO RIDE: must be competent rider, can cycle around the perimeter on the flat areas if not. Using own bike - must have working rear brake, no stunt-pegs
✳️GEAR: Must: full face helmet (your own or hire ours). Recommend: gloves (any will do), protective elbow and knee pads (if you have them), wear long sleeved top and trousers, no sliders or crocs tootwear!
✳️ARRIVAL: Sign in track, hire bike & helmet
✳️DECLARATION: complete form for yourself or your child online
✳️START GATE: see noted on in sessions above
✳️REFRESHMENTS: available at our Cafe
✳️TOILETS: no onsite toilets (yet) so please go before you set off, otherwise it's the bush or nearby supermarket!
✳️SESSIONS TYPE - one of these will be stated next to the date at the top of the post:
▪️Open Track - anyone can ride at any time during the time slot just turn up.
▪️Coaching Session - pre-book your place for a structured coaching session (skills & drills)
▪️Training Session - race day ready session with skills, fitness, laps and gate starts.

Are you entering the British BMX Championships this August in Manchester? 🇬🇧🔥

If so, you’ll be representing the South West Region BMX Racing and need a regional race jersey, you can’t wear any other jersey. ⚫️🟢⚪️

Here’s the info and link to purchase the new design jersey, love or hate it you must wear it to race, they are £24 each, and the sizing info is on the website (not sure of the manufacturer), order needs to be in by Monday 6th July. 🤨

If you fancy something a little different, but very similar to BMXing, then there’s the local round of the British 4X Series at Afan, just over the hill from our track, whether to enter or spectate. 🏁

📣 Anyone can enter, ages 7 to 50+, use a mountain bike (any bike as long as it has a front and rear working brake), and wear a full face helmet and gloves! They’d love to see plenty of fresh faces, get over there this weekend.

Our two young female rippers had a fantastic time at their first national bmx race weekend at the British Cycling National BMX Series in Gosport on the weekend. 🙌🏼 🟡⚫️

⚡️Some cracking results for their first races at this level, stepping up from regional racing, gaining experience and progression from it.

On the Saturday for round 5:
⭐️Amelia made the A Final in Female 10, which are great result, getting 8th.
⭐️Maisie made the B Final in Female 9, great racing, bagging a superb 5th.

On the Sunday for round 6:
⭐️Amelia made the A Final again, this time stepping up a notch even after an off on the first straight, to gain a 7th place.
⭐️Maisie made the B Final again, giving it her all, and getting another 5th.

Da iawn to both riders, takes some guts to step up to the next level of racing, representing the club and gaining invaluable experience and more competition, they’re both coming on leaps and bounds.

We’re all very proud of them both. 👏🏼 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
