🎉 A PASS FOR BECKY! 🎉

​Talk about an absolute superstar! Yesterday, Becky ran an entire MARATHON, and today she went down to a very rainy Melton test centre with her instructor Kieran and completely smashed her Automatic Driving Test with just 2 minor driving faults! 🏃‍♀️💨🌧️

​Between crushing 26.2 miles, smashing her driving test, studying for her Master's degree at Loughborough University, AND working at the Uni gym—we honestly don't know where she finds the energy! 🧠💪

​The celebrations don't stop here, though. The next big mission is car hunting, and her dad is on hand to help her choose her very first set of wheels! 🚗✨

​A massive congratulations to Sajjad from Kegworth, who passed his Automatic Driving Test today, 14th May, at the Loughborough Driving Test Centre! 🎉

​Sajjad came to 4front Driving School seeking professional support after a number of unsuccessful results elsewhere. It can be tough to keep going after setbacks, but Sajjad showed incredible resilience.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: New Rules for Swapping Driving Tests 🚗

​Thinking of swapping your driving test date with another learner? The DVSA has introduced strict new rules to make the process more secure. You can no longer do this online!

​Here is the new step-by-step guide to swapping safely:
​1. The 10-Day Rule 🗓️
You must request the swap at least 10 full working days before the earliest of the two tests. If your test is next week, it’s already too late to swap!

​2. It MUST Be Done by Phone 📞
You cannot swap via the website, email, or WhatsApp.
​How it works: One of you calls the DVSA (0300 200 1122).
​The Three-Way Call: The DVSA will put the first person on hold and call the second learner directly using the number on their official booking. If they don’t answer, the swap fails!

​3. Location Limits are Changing 📍
​Before 9 June 2026: Swap with anyone in the UK.
​From 9 June 2026: You can only swap with someone at the same test centre, one of your 3 nearest centres, or the centre you originally booked at.

​4. Check Your "Change Limit" 🛑
You are only allowed 2 changes to your booking. Swapping counts as one of those changes. If either of you has already used both changes, the swap will be rejected.

​5. What You Need Before Calling:
​Your driving licence number.
​Your booking reference number.
The other person’s booking reference number.
Their mobile number.

​Privacy Note: Do NOT give your personal details (like your licence number or address) to the person you are swapping with. The DVSA only needs the other person’s booking reference number to start the call.

​6. Match Your Test Type 💰
You can only swap "like-for-like." A weekday test (£62) can only be swapped for another weekday test. Weekend or extended tests must be swapped for the same type.

​Don’t forget: Always check with your instructor to make sure they are free for the new time before you commit to the swap!

⚠️Reminder of Next Date for Changes to the TEST BOOKING / SWAP system⚠️

12 May 2026: Only learners are permitted to book or amend their own driving tests. Driving instructors and third-party services can no longer manage bookings for learners.

9 June 2026: A geographical lock is implemented; tests can only be moved to "nearby" test centres, preventing booking in one area and swapping to a distant one.

NOTE 📝
The number of allowed changes to a driving test booking is reduced from six to two.

There are new sites popping up like test swaps forums. I don't know which ones are legit or not, but as DVSA have enforced new changes it will mean the black market is going to become even more rife. Be careful and do your research before sharing personal details!
