As a Car Mechanic/MOT Tester at Davies & Stevens Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Conducting MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards and guidelines.
2. Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
3. Performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance services, including brake repairs, suspension work, and engine diagnostics.
4. Efficiently identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
5. Providing accurate estimates and recommendations to customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance.
6. Using diagnostic equipment and software to diagnose vehicle issues.
7. Maintaining accurate records of services and repairs performed.
8. Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and attending training as required.
9. Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
10. Upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid DVSA MOT Tester License.
- Proven experience as a Car Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Full, clean driving license.
