Air-conditioning recharge carried out on a 2015 VW Amarok last week.
The vehicle was a recent purchase for the customer (Threapland Group LTD ) who wanted to get the system up and running again.
After carrying out some suitability checks (existing pressure check, vacuum and nitrogen pressure testing to establish if a leak existed) it was deemed suitable for recharging.
Following a deep vacuum to boil off any residual moisture in the system which reacts badly with refrigerant, the correct quantity of R1234yf refrigerant and a shot of compressor oil was added before carrying out a function check.
The A/C system was delivering a cool 4.5 degrees Celsius airflow from the vents with an ambient temperature of 20 following the work so all went well and the customer was chuffed! 🥶
