Today’s congratulations goes to Holly!
A first time pass on this lovely sunny afternoon in Grantham.

Holly has worked incredibly hard to achieve this result today. She made the wise decision to push her test back a few weeks, giving her the chance to practice and perfect her skills. This in turn, boosted her confidence to go out today and achieve a great outcome!

Holly, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and to watch your confidence and self belief grow each week. I wish you all the best for the future and hope this licence gives you the freedom to continue to build a positive future.

In the past 12 months you have become a home owner and now have a full driving licence. You go girl!

New driving test booking rules take effect
From today (Tuesday 12 May 2026), the rules about who can book and manage car driving tests have changed.

It's now against the law for third parties, including unofficial test booking and cancellation finder services, to make bookings for someone else.
It's also a breach of DVSA’s new terms and conditions for the booking service for third parties to change, swap or cancel a driving test for someone.

My daughter’s 14yr old friend was tragically killed at Bottesford, whilst crossing the train line through a pedestrian gate.
Her mum is campaigning to get safety locks fitted to prevent a further avoidable deaths.

Please help to get her campaign heard and considered.
All it takes is a quick signature 🙏

A busy week for George at GD Driving, however a great way to enter into the Easter break 🤩

3x First time passes in Grantham.
3 x Very different journeys.
3x Individuals dedicated to being safe on the road and achieving their goals.

Learning to drive is not just about passing your driving test, it is a life skill.
It is about learning to be safe on what have become dangerous roads in the UK.

You should not try and put a timeframe on your learning and certainly not a price!
Everybody learns differently, some are able to practice between lessons, some with just their regular lessons.
Some learn at 17, and some learn later in life.

Yes, driving lessons are expensive compared to 20years ago, but so is running a car and business. Can you put a price on your life?

Learning to drive is a journey. It will have its ups and downs, but with hard work and dedication you can achieve your dreams!
