After driving lessons???
Unfortunately due to all the COVID restrictions, the amount of people that want lessons far out ways the number of driving instructors available. There have been a lot of instructors who have made the decision to either retire or not to return back to work until they feel safe because they have vulnerable people at home. As there has been no testing, then no new instructors have been able to start work.
At the moment you are looking at a 5 month wait for a driving test.
I like many driving schools have waiting lists anywhere from 2 - 4 months plus.
One of the problems at the moment is students who are “panic booking” tests because they know of the waiting times. They then try to find an instructor without luck. Doing this is only making it more difficult for everyone and especially those who have instructors and are ready to take tests.
Please do not book a test unless you have a driving instructor in place who has agreed a time line for your instruction.
These are unique and difficult times, so please be patient. Find an instructor first then book a test when you’re ready.
My current waiting list is the end of July.
