Kawasaki Z900rs.

Many upgrades already made to this very nice Z900rs. New upgraded suspension on both ends and the owner was not happy with the feel, particularly the harsh ride.
I see this every time aftermarket suspension components are fitted when they’re not correctly tailored to the bike and rider.
Managed to get handling improvements in many areas.
The ride was now a lot smoother, steering is lighter and more precise, rider position more comfortable and the owner’s mood was greatly improved going from “no confidence” to “now I’m confident”👌🏻🙏

BMW M1000r, 2025.

Beautiful motorcycle! How does it ride though? The owner mentioned it to be a bit unsettling at times and in my experience, the rider is never wrong. It’s just a case of diagnosing the cause.

It appeared that the front was using up a lot of travel and that was just visually. My measurements confirmed this. The rear also indicated it may be a touch low.

Off to ride now to clarify as there is no other way to see how any motorcycle feels.
Sure enough the bike was a bit nervous and oversteering. The cause was the front end sitting a touch low. After several test runs, tweaks and matching the rear to the front, the set up was done.

It’s now a different beast, less nervous and more composed. Steering more precise and planted.
An easier motorcycle to ride, more fun and as always, safer.

Honda CBR600rr, 2026.

The HRC engineers, as expected have produced a masterpiece. What a fantastic motorcycle!

I made the usual checks and measurements and felt there was room to improve the handling further with a tailored suspension set up for the new owner.
The road test surprised me because it rode so sweetly contrary to my initial checks/measurements.

No worries! Dialling the suspension further, produced an even better all round motorcycle.

The owner was keen to test it and came back very happy, saying:”it’s a different bike and transformed”😎👌🏻 But unhappy he had a new motorcycle that was so far off its optimal settings out of the showroom.

Areas of improvement were:
Riding position more comfortable.
Ride quality.
Braking more progressive.
Agility.
Stability.
Precise steering.

Making the motorcycle easier to ride, more fun and most importantly, safer!

Yamaha MT09 SP, 2023.

Love working on these as they’re fun to ride and respond very well to a tailored suspension set up.
Areas of improvement were:

Braking
Stability
Grip/Feel
Ride quality
Riding position
Steering
Agility
Happy owner

All adding up to a much safer and fun ride.

Kawasaki ZX10R, 2022.

This is back in for a fine tune after I set it up earlier in the year.
It appears to have gone slightly out of sync over time and use.
A small adjustment was necessary to bring it back to its former glory and the owner was happy “definitely feeling the difference”

Triumph Street Triple 765RS, 2024.
The owner was very clued up on suspension but to get the desired result he realised you can’t do this out of a 📕

As is so often the case, I’ve done many of these and know their secrets.

The owner got back in touch a few days later and was over the Moon.
He said “Every input miles better”
“Speed of manoeuvres so much quicker but felt so easy and safer”
“Confidence massively higher”

Kawasaki Z900rs, 2021.

The owner was not getting the confidence he expected from riding his Z900rs and asked me for assistance.
I’ve set up a few of these. They’re easy to work on and usually have plenty of scope to improve from stock.
This was an exceptional example and the owner was very surprised with the improvements.
The set up gave him “instant confidence”
I also received a very nice call from him after his ride home 👌🏻🙏

BMW S1000rr.

This had a lowering linkage fitted which is rarely to my liking as it so often has an adverse effect on the handling.
The owner was not entirely happy either and asked me to help.
There was limited adjustment available but I managed to squeeze some positivity back into the bike and the owner!

Yamaha MT09, 2015.

Always a pleasure to work on the MT09. I know exactly what makes them tick and how to get the best performance from the set up.
Best of all is that it responds well to the adjustability available ……well that’s what I think.
What did the owner think? In a word “phenomenal”🙏👌🏻😎

Yamaha Tracer 7, 2025.

The owner was not happy with his Tracer 7 and asked if I could improve the handling and get him comfortable with it.
No worries!
I found some issues very quickly with the stability on the front end and the road test clarified this. Steering was also a bit lazy and I wanted to sharpen it up. This was music to the owners ears.
It responded very well to the readjustment and it’s now much safer, more fun and easier to ride.
