Nothing worse than turning the key on a cold morning and getting nothing back. The inevitable colder weather that’s on its way often causes issues…
Batteries are the obvious one, but cold starts can also highlight worn glow plugs on diesels, ignition issues, weak starter motors, coolant/thermostat problems and unusual noises on startup.

Pop in and see us to help prevent any unwanted problems.

And just like that, September is done.
Plenty of cars through the doors.
A few stubborn bolts.
A lot of dirty hands.
And most importantly, plenty of customers back on the road.
To everyone who booked in this month, came back to us, recommended us, shared a post or simply stopped for a chat — thank you.

Now onto October.
The diary is already filling, so give us a shout.
See you in the workshop 🔧

Knock. Clunk. Squeak. Rattle. Humming thing. Weird noise from somewhere near the front 😂
We’ll work it out.
Today’s mystery noise turned out to be a fairly straightforward repair and the customer is back on the road.
If yours has started making a new soundtrack, give us a shout before turning the radio up to hide it

There’s nothing better than when somebody brings a car in expecting the worst and we can give them some good news.

Not every strange noise means a huge bill.
Not every warning light means disaster.

Sometimes it just needs somebody to properly look at it and work out what’s going on.

Happy customer, happy mechanic, car back on the road.
👍🏼

Monday mode activated 👨🏻‍🔧: We’ve got a good mix in today, which is how we like it. A service, brakes after that and then a fault we need to do a bit of detective work on. 🕵🏽‍♂️
No two days in a garage are quite the same.

Cold weather has a habit of showing up a tired battery very quickly.
If yours has been turning over a little slower lately, don’t ignore it.
Get it checked before you’re standing on the driveway at 7am wishing you had. 🪫

8:00am: Kettle on ☕
8:05am: First bonnet up.
8:20am: Phone ringing.
8:30am: Parts delivery.
8:45am: Tea completely forgotten about.

Standard manic Monday morning really

Kids are back to school this week 🎒
With the school runs starting again, it’s a good time to make sure your car is safe and ready for the busy mornings ahead.
Tyres, brakes, batteries, lights, wipers — the little things can make a big difference, especially as we head towards the darker, wetter months.
If you’re unsure about anything on your car, give us a call or pop in and we’ll be happy to take a look 👍
