Recently we have seen a rise in scammers operating from Turkey, Vietnam, Cambodia and other regions who are charging to program keys, control modules, and to do various diagnostic functions, however they have been unable to do so & are advising to replace non faulty parts and are still charging for the service, leaving you out of pocket & potentially having to pay for something which could essentially be about as useful as an expensive 🧱
It sounds convenient… but here’s the reality:
🔸 These tools often use stolen or shared logins, verify your technician is using their own credentials!
🔸 They can install hidden remote-access back doors
🔸 Your customer’s vehicle data may be exposed
🔸 ECUs and modules can become corrupted
🔸 When something goes wrong, you’re the one left responsible & out of pocket!
As professionals, we depend on trust, reliability, and proper tooling. Using unverified or hacked software can create issues that don’t show up immediately—but when they do, the damage can be costly.
Stick to licensed tools. Stick to verified software.
It protects your customers, your equipment, and the reputation you’ve worked hard to build.
Stay safe, stay professional, and avoid shortcuts that can cost far more in the long run. 🔐🔧
