1. Appropriate footwear: Sturdy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
2. Map: Cell service is not always reliable in the Forest, so bring a printed map and familiarize yourself with the area.

5. Extra Clothing: Bring layers, a rain coat, and a change of clothes to prepare for unexpected weather, temperatures... or falling in the mud.
