The 2022 RM Sotheby's London to Brighton Veteran Car Run takes place on Sunday 6 November. The annual November event attracts entrants from all over the globe and for the owners of these highly valuable veteran cars it represents a rare opportunity to take their extraordinary automobiles on the historic 60-mile run from Hyde Park in central London to the seafront on the Sussex resort of Brighton.

An exceptionally rare piece of automotive history will travel along one of motoring’s most famous routes when Mercedes-Benz’s oldest roadworthy commercial vehicle takes part in the Veteran Car Run on 1 November. The presence of the 1899 Benz combination delivery vehicle will mark the 130th anniversary of the invention of the motorised transporter by Carl Benz in 1896 and the 140th anniversary of Benz’s life-changing Patent-Motorwagen. Its participation in this year’s Run will be the first in 60 years.
