Why SMART Repairs Often Disappoint on Porsches

1. Colour mismatch
• Porsche paints (especially metallic and pearlescent) are very difficult to match perfectly.
• A SMART repairer usually blends only a small area rather than repainting the whole bumper.
• Result: you can see the repair in certain light or angles.

2. Texture differences
• Factory Porsche paint has a consistent orange-peel texture.
• SMART repairs are often too smooth or too rough.
• On close inspection the repaired area stands out.

3. Clearcoat issues
• Cheaper repairs sometimes use thinner clearcoat.
• Leads to:
• Duller finish
• Faster fading
• Harder polishing later

4. Poor durability
