1961 TRIUMPH TR5 AC SOLD TO New York City Motorcycles

This is a really rare machine, so rare in fact that most of you won't know what it is!

The 1961 TR5/AC was an export USA Triumph in complete "Trophy" trim - ready for scrambles cross country, trial riding and all round fun!

The last slide shows you the factory brochure picture, with a head line saying 'For Sport and Competition'

• Fitted with the siamese 2 into 1 exhaust system
• The very rare TR5ac tank
• Small competition head light
• USA export bars
• Battery less ignition system (this one has electrics world ignition fitted)
• Only 663 ever built, lots wouldn't have survived!

This bike has had an engine rebuild, new clutch plates and a clutch basket with all new bearings. The forks have also been rebuilt with new folk stanchions.

Overall this is a nice bike that is ready to ride, it's not a mint restoration and still has its original Dunlop rims - front and rear - both showing some rust spots.

But in our opinion, bikes in this condition are better and more rideable as you don't need to worry so much if you get caught out in the rain!

If you have any questions or would like to own this bike, please get in touch. More pictures or a running video can be sent on request.

We are selling this rare machine on behalf of one of our customers.

Some footage from yesterday's race

Riders
Kev Ace Classics

Kev got off to a fantastic start P2 into turn one but couldn't stay with the pack we ended up finishing P14 in yesterday's race

This race was definitely the highlight of our weekend as we didn't have much luck in Qualifying with gear box issues and a dead battery, and in race 1 we had the engine seize up on the first lap!
Anyway as they say that's racing

Thanks to as always without him looking after our classic race bikes none of this would be possible
