1. Why did you choose Dave Pester Driving School?
Local to the area and better priced than other instructors.

2. How did you find learning to drive?
I thought the learning curve and getting used to it would be a lot harder, but Dave made it much easier.

3. How would you describe your instructor?
Very well adapted to my situation and skill level, with little to no stress and lots of reassurance.

4. Would you recommend Dave to others?
Absolutely! If you want to start your driving journey at a nice pace and with little to no stress, Dave is definitely the way to go.

5. What does passing your test mean to you?
Easier transportation and a greater sense of independence.

6. Where are you looking forward to driving?
Everywhere!

7. What advice would you give to someone learning to drive?
“Don’t overthink it, just drive!!”

Reece had lessons a while ago, but after being involved in a car accident as a passenger, he lost his confidence and his desire to drive.

It took time, patience and hard work to rebuild that confidence and find the motivation to get back behind the wheel.

But today, all that hard work paid off! 💪

A very nervous driver has transformed into a confident, safe driver who can now take to the roads independently.

Reece, you should be incredibly proud of what you have overcome to get here. I know how much this has meant to you, and seeing you achieve your goal today makes it all worthwhile.

You never gave up, you kept going, and now you've got that full driving licence! 🪪🎉

Carys was an outstanding pupil from start to finish. Always listening, always asking questions and always wanting to learn and improve.

Her biggest challenge was never the driving itself. It was believing in herself and trusting that she could do it.

Today was tough! Carys was so nervous that she even managed to make me nervous too! 😂😬

But there was absolutely no need!

Chloe was a great pupil who was always pushing herself to be better.

Driving didn't always come easy. Every time she felt she was making progress, something would come along and knock her confidence.

A fantastic second-attempt pass today, Tuesday 13th October, at Sidcup Driving Test Centre! 👏

Leo was a great pupil who came to me with some pretty good driving skills and a solid understanding of how to drive. We just needed to work on his confidence and belief in himself.

It hasn't always been easy, with Leo going back and forth to university and his first driving test being cancelled on the day. But today, we finally had all the planets aligned! 🪐✨

Leo went out there and showed the examiner exactly what he was capable of. A great drive and a great result! 💪

Leo, you should be really proud of yourself. You've put in the work, built your confidence and got the result you deserved. Enjoy the freedom that comes with being a new driver! 🚘🎉

Benedict’s Review

“I honestly don’t think you could ask for a better instructor.”

Benedict chose Dave Pester Driving School after being recommended Dave by an AI assistant, but what really stood out was the quick response, availability for intensive lessons, and willingness to take the test at Tunbridge Wells.

He found learning to drive much less stressful than expected and particularly enjoyed Dave’s practical, hands-on teaching style.

“We got straight into the driving. I really enjoyed that. It made the lessons much more fun, and it worked too, because I became confident and competent pretty quickly.”

Benedict also highlighted the freedom and independence that passing his test has given him, particularly being able to drive himself to work and play the organ without relying on public transport or other people.

His advice to anyone thinking about learning to drive?
“Go for it and don't overthink it.”

And his final verdict says it all:

“If you're thinking about learning to drive and you can get lessons with Dave Pester, you absolutely should. There's no need to look anywhere else.”

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS BENEDICT! 🎉

A fantastic result today, Friday 2nd October, as Benedict passed his driving test at Tunbridge Wells! 🚗💨

This was Benedict’s second attempt, and getting to this point certainly wasn’t straightforward!

Tunbridge Wells is a different test centre to all of my regular centres, so on the first test we were a little bit clueless to some of the local pitfalls. Benedict was caught out by the changes in speed restrictions around the area, along with some signs that were very well hidden!

We booked another test for 8am, meaning a 6am start from home. We arrived at the test centre ready to go, only to be told that the examiner had to leave due to an emergency.

NO TEST! 😫

So, today it was fingers crossed that there would be no more issues!

Another 6am pick-up, a quick practice around the area and then test time at 8am.

This time… NO ISSUES! 🙌

Benedict put in a great drive and came away with a well-deserved pass! 🥳👏

Congratulations Benedict — you stuck with it, overcame the setbacks and got the result you deserved.

That takes us to 42 happy new drivers in 2026 so far! 🚗💨

9 months into 2026 and 42 learners have now earned their independence and are out on the road.

FIRST-TIME PASS — just 3 faults! 👏👏

Katie first started learning to drive a couple of years ago and, although she picked it up really well, she decided she had too much going on at the time to concentrate on learning and give it the commitment it needed.

Then, in April this year, after passing her theory test, Katie got back in touch with a “nothing’s going to stop me now” attitude! 💪

Fast forward just 5 months and what a difference!

Today Katie put in an amazing drive, picked up just 3 faults, and walked away with a first-time pass! 🥳

Even better, Katie already has her own car and is now a full licence holder! 🚘

I’m going to miss the laughs, Katie! 😂
