Jokes aside, this could have been seriously bad.

Everyone had to slow down and swerve at motorway speeds because a sofa was sitting in the road. Please make sure your loads are properly secured — furniture, tools, ladders, equipment, anything.

At 70mph, something falling off a vehicle can become deadly very quickly.

Luckily, this looked like a near miss.

Just another day driving through London…

On my way to a customer, my dash cam captured this incident where a vehicle failed to give way while crossing a cycle lane and collided with a cyclist.

No dramatic music, no jokes — just a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong on the road.

Our technician stopped to check on the cyclist, who appeared to be okay, and the driver also stopped at the scene with both parties appearing to exchange details.

Whether you’re driving, cycling or walking, moments like this show why awareness matters and why having clear dash cam footage can be so important.

Stay alert. Give way properly. Check the cycle lane.

DVS Compliant Camera & Sensor System (ACSS)

Installation carried out to meet the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) requirements, including side cameras and proximity sensors for cyclist and pedestrian safety.

This system provides full visibility around the vehicle along with audible and visual alerts to assist the driver in urban environments.

We also installed a rear reversing camera on the trailer, giving the driver improved visibility when manoeuvring and reversing.

The system, supplied by ACSS, was fully installed and configured to meet compliance standards, with wiring routed securely and all equipment mounted for durability on a commercial vehicle.

Even the biggest DAF fans out there would appreciate the extra visibility and safety this setup provides 👀

DVS systems are essential for HGVs operating in London and other regulated areas, helping improve road safety and ensure compliance.

Dash Cam Installation Correction – Range Rover

This customer came to us after experiencing issues with a previous installation carried out elsewhere. After inspecting the vehicle, we found a number of installation problems including incorrectly routed wiring and trim panels not properly refitted.

The system was removed and completely reinstalled correctly, with wiring safely routed away from airbags and all trim panels and seals properly refitted.

Due to the design of the rear window on this Range Rover, we also installed a specialist rear camera mount to achieve a secure and neat installation.

The fault was diagnosed and the installation corrected within around an hour, and the customer has since left us a 5-star review.

Situations like this are why professional installation is important, especially on modern vehicles with airbags and sensitive electronics behind trim panels.

Another supply & fit completed at our workshop today — this time on a 2007 Ford Fiesta.

This customer came to us with an old dash cam and decided to upgrade to our new 4K front & rear system. The camera is very sleek and discreet (similar in style to BlackVue), with a 170° wide viewing angle at the front, full parking mode, and mobile app connectivity.

We supplied the dash cam, professionally hardwired it, neatly installed all wiring, set up the app on the customer’s phone, and gave a full walkthrough on how to use everything before he left.

He also chose a couple of our complimentary air fresheners (Cherry and Sweet Candy), and we arranged a wash for his car so he could drive away with a fresh install and a clean car.
