Nomad Adventure Vehicles, is a Liverpool-based campervan conversion company, builds handcrafted, bespoke interiors designed for adventure. Our small team of camper van nuts takes pride in meticulous attention to detail, design integrity and thoughtful craftsmanship. As we expand into a second workshop, we’re currently seeking the following people to join our team.

Skilled Joiner/Cabinet Maker
Workshop Assistant

The Role

We’re looking for a capable and practical individual to join our workshop team. This role involves assisting with all aspects of campervan builds, from prepping and fitting to finishing details. You’ll work closely with our experienced team on bespoke conversions, ensuring vans meet NAV’s high standards of workmanship and design.

Typical tasks include (Workshop Assistant)

- Assisting with interior fit-outs, joinery and general assembly
- Supporting the installation of furniture, flooring and electrics
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
- Taking initiative on small projects and daily organisation
- Interior Stripping: Removing seats, carpets, and door cards from the campervan.
- Installation: Installing elevating roof fittings, rock and roll bed fittings, insulation, flooring, electrical systems (12v, 240v, solar panels), and night heaters.

Typical tasks (Skilled Joiner/Cabinet Maker)
- Proven experience as a joiner, cabinet maker, carpenter or similar
- Strong woodworking and machining skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC (optional bonus)
- Ability to work from technical drawings
- Excellent in vehicle or boat interiors (bonus not essential)
- Furniture Assembly and Installation: Assembling CNC-cut custom campervan furniture and installing it into the vehicle.

About You

- Required Skills: Confident in using hand and power tools, keen eye for detail, enthusiastic, reliable, comfortable working independently or in a small team.
- Ideal Background: Experience in carpentry, furniture making, van conversions, or similar practical work.
- General Responsibilities: Maintain job cards, practice good timekeeping, keep the work area clean and tidy.

Hours & Pay

- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday: 7am - 3:30pm
- Staff discounts

- This is a full-time permanent position subject to a successful probationary period
- Salary dependant on experience

Thule Omnistor 4200 awning fitted to this on Via a Vamoose Combi Rail and a pair of Side steps.

Customer over the moon with the results and quick turnaround.

We’ve been hard at work on this awesome Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 based Hymer Motorhome last week.

Customers were unhappy with the dated look of the original interior so asked if we could improve it.

We’ve cladded out the bedroom, living and kitchen area in a lightweight modern looking wall covering which the customer sourced and re-made the worktop in oak. We’ve also supplied and fitted a new tap, flush mounted sink, double hob and water filtration system.

We’ve removed a roof mounted air conditioning unit and replaced it with a large skylight to brighten the bedroom area up which has worked a treat!

Check out the swivel table and flip up worktop extension we’ve made and installed as well!

This has been a total transformation and the van no looks so much warmer, bigger and more homelike. Customers have collected today and are over the moon with the transformation!
