Mk8 Fiesta ST 1.5t for Ⓜ️Tune Stage 1 performance remap 💻📈
This ST didn't want to play nice !
Initial health check everything looked good and the car drove like a stock ST , flashed in the Stage 1 Tune and went out for a datalogging road test , under full load the car was holding back slightly as it climbed the rev range and didn't feel like a clean pull.
Checked over the tune and nothing looked out of place , datalogs didn't point out anything obvious either and no fault codes🤔
Carried out a smoke test = all good
The car had an aftermarket intake kit and I wanted to rule that out , so flashed the car back to stock and asked the customer to chuck the stock airbox in the boot for me to change it the following day and re-test, I also asked if he could remember the last time the car had a set of spark plugs ? and if he wasn't sure to grab a set of genuine ford plugs.
Came back to the ST today and went straight for a spark plug change , re-flashed the same tune left the intake on and went out on test ...bingo !
The ST now pulls like a dream , no hesitation and a nice clean pull up to the top of the rev range 🙌
These really are little pocket rockets once tuned 😁
