Mk7 Golf R 2.0TSI for Ⓜ️Tune Stage 1 engine & gearbox map 💻📈

Unbeknownst to the owner this Golf R was already mapped !

The Simos 18 ECU is a virtual read on these , so you are pulling a stock software version from a server to tune - so this means you're not looking at the actual calibration in the ECU.

This is one of the reasons why it's important to log the car on the road first , not only to see if the car's healthy enough to tune but to also check if it's tuned !

This is where experience comes into play , looking at the logs I could see straight away the car was running a tune based on the boost & lambda readings.

So the car was tuned , the logs showed it being safe but there looked like there was more to be had from the car , and this was also evident from the customer, he had a few gripes on how the car drove , it felt lazy and the response just wasn't there , plus the gearbox didn't feel like it was in sync with engine although the car did pull well once it was going through the gears.

After a chat with the customer and explaining the logs , I felt like I could improve on the current tune with a tune from my database that I've had great feedback on from previous golf R's I've tuned. He was happy for me to go ahead so we flashed the engine & gearbox and went back out on the road.

Straight away from just normal part throttle pull away driving he said the car felt so much better - always a good sign 😁

Out on the motorway to give it some beans the car felt noticeable quicker and this was the feedback from the owner that it was a night & day difference in how the car drove.

Data logs showing the car hitting the requested setpoints of the tune and no timing pull - happy days

The engine & gearbox maps working together to give an improved response , sharpening up the gearshifts and transforming the cars performance 🙌

Mercedes C43 AMG for Ⓜ️Tune Stage 1 performance remap 💻📈

The C43 was initially booked in at the start of the week for a Ghost Immobiliser & stage 1 tune , but the pre tuning checks highlighted an issue with the GPF (gasoline particulate filter) so I recommend the Merc to be checked out by the owners usual mercedes specialist first and postponed the tune , but got the ghost installed.

The mercedes specialist checked the car over the following day & carried out a dynamic regeneration which brought the gpf values back in spec.

So today I revisited the C43 and carried out the stage 1 tune.

The tune really wakes up the mercedes and gives it that true AMG feel , sharper throttle response , stronger midrange and power that keeps the car pulling right up the rev range, sport + is so much fun now !

X2 Peugeot 3008 hdi's for Ⓜ️Tune Adblue Solutions 💻

Two different generation 3008's both suffering with the same problem !

Adblue warnings & No engine start countdowns , both cars had been reset and codes cleared previously but both cars started faulting again.

Diagnostic showing nox sensor failure and pump failure on both cars - definitely not what you need with two cars in the same household both needing expensive repairs.

Luckily for this customer he was referred to me so I could help with a cost effective solution for both vehicles.

Solutions applied , cars back in business , wallet still intact 😁

Transit Custom 2.0 Ecoblue for Ⓜ️Tune Stage 1 performance remap 💻📈

The owner has recently converted this very smart looking custom into a camper and now feels once it's loaded up ready for a trip away it's not handling the additional weight as well as he would have liked.

Now this is the 185hp version , so the highest factory output available, but it's how it delivers this power that lets it down , the delay in pedal input to the van actually doing anything is noticeable, and the torque just plateaus.

Datalogged on the road and the van was hitting all the requests of the standard software.

Stage 1 flashed in via OBD on this once elusive Sid212 ECU and then it was round two on the datalogging road test ... This time the van is noticeably sharper and a midrange that pulls stronger and that isn't even planting the pedal 😂

Data logs all looking good , boost , egts , injection , fuel pressure all tracking nicely with an indicated 380nm torque 👍

This will give the transit that helping hand when loaded up and tacking steep inclines , plus it's just nicer to drive in general 🙌

The customer had already carried out the necessary hardware modifications to the van prior to my arrival, it was just a case of finishing off with the dpf & egr solutions.
