Some AB Miniatures Bavarians on the tabletop at the mo. Part of a big 1809 order for a customer.

One may have appeared to have a little but too much Schnapps.

As always Eureka Minis are a joy to paint.

Took the time this afternoon to make some hedges for my own table.

Took a bit of time to get going but happy with the result.

Going to let it dry now and then a varnish to help it set!

A busy old time here at Lowesy Minis and I have been neglecting my posting duties.

Here are some figures from a real mixed order. Some minotaurs, giants and peasants.

Lovely to work on! Figures provided by the customer so not sure of the origin.

Painted to a high tabletop standard.

Enemy's face off!

The first Squad of Early War Germans are complete and already facing off against their opponents.

Nothing more fun than getting minis out for a fun picture.

Time to build the second squad and edge closer to getting this battle on the tabletop once again.

Something a little different.

After wanting to think about some Tomb Kings for a while finally made the plunge (a second time with a better set of colours) and got some spray primer and as part of a local deal I got 3. Tried Ossified bone as a base for this and I think this chap has turned as I want!

I was slightly worried the bone highlights were too bright but I think they work nicely.

3 more riflemen to join the first squad of my 1939-1940 Germans.

Really enjoying the contrast between the jacket and the trousers. And it always is nice when the models are so nice to paint and put together. These are the slightest Blitzkrieg Germans from but I'm using a lot of arms from the Grenadiers and Veterans box to give short sleeves to give that sense of summer fighting.

4 more on the painting table to come.

An MG gunner for my Early War Germans. A very slight kit bash using the Grenadier German MG42 and replacing it with the MG 34 from the Blitzkrieg box.

I want a sense of movement and aggression from these guys to fit with the Lightning War feeling of their name, so running units, grenades and snap firing are the name of the game for the building of these figures.

I also need to get myself a proper lazy Susan for nice videos in the future.

Just in before the end of WIP Wednesday.

Back with my own figures once again and my Early War German squad.

Taking some time on these to really get the fabric looking like it has some dimensions with layering and highlights. The biggest thing that has helped has been getting much more comfortable with washes to help build that initial layering effect and then following that up with gradually lighter and lighter.

These slightly older figures from Warlord still have lots of areas to really make them pop and I look forward to completing these guys with the rest of their equipment and some basing.

Some Perry's Spanish Guerrillas painted for a customer to standard quality.

Enjoy painting some figures like these which allows for variety and prevents mind numbing repetition.

Some Brits and French ready to fight it out over who is the rightful heir to the Spanish Throne.

I love 10mm it's the best scale for really getting that feel for a big battle. These from were knave again fantastic.

Even though full time painting has slown down here at Lowesy Miniatures it's still great getting out these big orders.
