When it comes to vehicle leather,
proper cleaning is about much more than simply wiping it down and making it shine. In fact, shiny leather is usually dirty leather. Body oils, sweat, grime, and old product residue build up over time, creating an artificial gloss on seats, steering wheels, door cards, and other leather surfaces. Correct leather care requires dedicated leather safe cleaners, specialist brushes, and the right techniques to safely remove contamination without damaging the finish.
A proper leather deep clean isn’t a rushed 30 minute add-on that leaves everything looking even shinier than before.
Depending on the condition and size of the vehicle, a thorough leather clean can take several hours to correctly clean, restore, and protect the surfaces. 👀Cheap valeters are cheap for a reason.
Shortcuts are taken, inferior products are used, and the results often mask dirt rather than remove it.
Properly cleaned leather should have a natural, matte appearance and feel clean to the touch, not slick, greasy, or glossy.
See below for how leather should look. 👍
Remember, cheap is cheap for a reason.
