It has become apparent this past week that the navigation channel passing south of Edergole Island is impassable for the average motor-cruiser due to a dense underwater crop of Nuttall's pondweed.

We have recovered an inordinate number of vessels now from this location, all stuck so severely that it is requiring forceful towing to extract vessels to clear water.

(Think; round bale of silage attached to the propeller)

The strain that this is imposes on the sterngear of the stricken craft is both immense and undesirable. One vessel recovered had the rudder torn off as a result.

Please feel free to share this information around the boating community. It could save folk from a shedload of hassle and expense.

This week we were lucky enough to have had the Big Boss of Linssen Yachts come over to do the Dealer inspection. It was a privilege to show Mathijs some of what NI has to offer and even better to have fun doing it 😀 What a brave and ambitious young man to travel on his own. Thanks to Yvonne Linssen & Paul for entrusting with their son for a few days 🦾😎.
