LVS have been maintaining this VW T5 van for many years, so we know it pretty well!

A common issue with these vehicles is the outer skin of the rear silencer box rotting away. Rather than replacing the complete OE exhaust system, the more cost-effective solution was to install a Milltek stainless-steel system from the DPF back.

A great upgrade that addresses the corrosion issue while providing a quality, long-lasting replacement for the original system.

Something a little different in the workshop this week, I’ll be honest we don’t normally work on classics but we made an exception on this occasion.

VW Scirocco which is nearly as old as me in for a gearbox oil change and a brake fluid service.

Our customer who brings her other vehicle to us asked if we could carry out the above.

Something a little different in the workshop this week 🔧

We had an Audi A3 Hybrid in for a set of Eibach lowering springs, dropping the vehicle’s ride height by approximately 20–25mm.

Once the springs are fitted, it’s always good practice to carry out a full wheel alignment to make sure everything is set up correctly and the vehicle is finished off properly.

All carried out in-house by our technician, Slater. 👌

Another job completed and back on the road! 🚗

LVS had this Volkswagen Tiguan in yesterday for a Diagnostic into the vehicle using coolant although there was no evidence of an external leak.

After pressurising the vehicle’s cooling system, we confirmed that there was a leak within the system.

Our technician, Dan, removed the intake manifold to gain access to the charge cooler, which is cooled by the engine coolant system. Upon inspection, he immediately found evidence that the charge cooler was leaking coolant into the intake manifold.

All affected components were cleaned as thoroughly as possible, and a new charge cooler was installed. The cooling system was then refilled with fresh coolant and tested again to confirm that the repair had been successfully completed and that no further leaks were present.
