Tesla Model X Plaid – Eclipse Black

A new customer to WhiteDetails and their first experience with Paint Protection Film (PPF)

What started as an enquiry for a simple front-end installation quickly grew to include the doors… and then the rear quarters and before you know it, quoting for full car coverage!

With the Model X being a family car, and, one that the new owner hopes to take to 200k+ miles, (and with Eclipse Black being particularly delicate and unforgiving!!) the decision was made to protect the lot.

The result? Virtually invisible, self-healing protection across every painted panel, preserving that deep black finish while making the car considerably easier to live with and enjoy✌🏻🫧🧽

1987 Porsche 928 S4 - Diamond Blau Metallic

Pushing 40 years old now and with 101k miles under its belt, this beautiful 928 was pencilled in with WhiteDetails for some much need TLC and protection.

Having undergone a full respray back in 2013, the new owner was keen to revitalise the finish, address some of the imperfections left behind and put some quality protection in place for the years ahead.

A multi-stage paint correction was carried out to remove remaining sanding marks, bodyshop defects and general imperfections that had been robbing the Diamond Blau Metallic of its potential. The result? Restored clarity, a much crisper finish and a pure metallic flake finally able to properly come alive.

PPF wise (paint protection film), patterns were available for much of the car, but the larger panels were bulk installed to maximise coverage and avoid unnecessary seams. PPF was applied to the front end, lower doors, side skirts and rear quarters, providing physical impact protection with a super-glossy, self-healing finish.
With the remaining polishing work complete, all exterior surfaces were coated and the interior received a light refresh to finish things off.

The owner’s words as they walked through the door on collection day, “it’s like walking into the Porsche dealership.. 40 years ago!!”

"I’m sure it will be apparent from earlier reviews that Jim at WhiteDetails is a master of his trade but I feel I must add my name to his long list of satisfied customers.

Jim has just fitted an extended front end PPF package to my car (along with some additional custom sections) and he also applied Modesta treatments to the exterior paintwork, wheels and leather interior.

I knew from YouTube clips documenting his earlier detailing work that he would make every effort to achieve the best possible results but I was amazed at the quality of finish he achieved.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage AMR Volante - Scintilla Silver

This stunning Vantage made the journey over from mainland Europe after its owner watched last year's Vantage S SP10 episode on the WhiteDetails YouTube channel 👏🏻🎬🍿

With over 65,000 miles on the clock and plenty more European road trips planned, the brief was simple: make it look its very best and give it the protection it deserves.

The Aston received a two stage paint correction, an extended front PPF installation, wheels off work, interior detailing, fabric hood protection and coatings throughout. A fair bit of touch up work was required ahead of time to improve the existing road rash and stone chips that had collected on the front end.

The end result is a beautifully refreshed AMR that's ready for many more miles across Europe, now with the confidence of long-term protection where it's needed most 🛡️

And that Scintilla Silver... one of the richest, heaviest metallic finishes I've seen in a long time! In the sunlight, it absolutely comes alive. Beautiful 🙏🏻

Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R | Full PPF 🛡️

The GT-R first visited WhiteDetails Summer last year and featured on YouTube in “Project-34 – Rinse & Review” - an inspection and once-over to help the owner identify problem areas, along with parts that needed attention, repair or replacement.

Since then, the car has undergone a glass-out, full-body respray, addressing corrosion issues, previous damage and mismatched Bayside Blue panels.

Now back at WhiteDetails, the 34 was booked in for paint correction, full paint protection film and coatings - giving the proud owner peace of mind now the fresh paintwork is looking its best.
