A little reminder of just how far the car industry has come over the past 26 years 🚗⚡

This week we’ve had two early S-Types in for diagnostics and repair, sitting alongside two I-Pace models in for the same. The contrast is incredible.

It honestly doesn’t feel like 26 years ago that we were carrying out PDIs on the S-Type while working at the main dealer!

Times change, technology moves fast — but these great cars always keep us busy.

This Jaguar F-PACE came in with an engine noise and battery warning light.

After a full diagnosis, we identified the issue as a failed lower crank pulley.

We replaced the pulley, belt, and idler using genuine parts, and had the vehicle back with the customer the very next day.

This week has been all about timing chains.

We’ve had three vehicles in requiring timing chain replacements – two Ingenium diesels and one petrol vehicle needing a top chain replacement.

Following full strip-downs and inspections, we identified VVT mechanism issues on both the petrol engine and one of the diesels. In one case, the VVT had failed internally; in another, the customer was extremely fortunate, as the VVT mechanism had already started to come apart.

This highlights the importance of replacing all related components correctly and never cutting corners. Proper diagnosis and thorough repairs are essential to protect your engine and avoid far more costly damage down the line.

First full week back of 2026 and it was a busy one.

With 5 additional vehicles recovered in we’re pleased to say that all 5 have been looked at and diagnosed. 💪🏻💪🏻
3 have been returned to the customers and 2 are awaiting authorisation.

These included Range Rover misfire, required 2 x fuel injectors.

XF not recognising keys, programming issue.

Discovery Sport needing timing chains.
