📚🧠 A little nudge on your theory…👩🏻‍💻

Learning to drive isn’t just about what we do during lessons. Understanding the rules of the road, developing good hazard perception and learning to spot risk early are a huge part of becoming a safe, independent driver.

I’m recommending the Driving Theory Test 4 in 1 app to help with that. It brings the theory test and hazard perception practice together in one place, so you can work on it little and often between lessons 🚗💭

Try not to think of theory as something you just need to get through to book your practical test. The better your understanding becomes, the more we can put it into practice when we’re actually out driving; particularly with signs, priorities, planning and anticipating hazards.

Even 10–15 minutes regularly can make a difference📱📖

Tomorrow is September 🍂

Which means the start of my favourite season but also means its Intelligent Instructor conference season!

I'm delighted to say I will be speaking at the conference again this year.

I will be speaking at 9.30am in the Lou Walsh PDI zone. A privilege and honour.

I will be speaking about coaching the whole person and not just the learner driver. How beliefs, values and experience also get into our cars 🚘

Outside of this time you will find me on the wellbeing stand this year. I'm honoured to have been asked by the The Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council - ADINJC to support over there. I will be on there chatting to ADIs and PDIs about how we can support our wellbeing doing our job 💚
