If your instructor advises you that you’re not ready to take your test, here are five things you should do:

🟡 Visit GOV.UK and reschedule your test

🟡 Review the ‘Ready to Pass?’ checklist

🟡 Do more private practice with family and/or friends

🟡 Check out the top 10 reasons why people fail their test

🟡 Talk to your instructor and tailor your lessons to improve your weaknesses

Remember, taking your test when you’re not ready will potentially cost you more time and money.

New Highway Code guidance will help keep people cycling, walking and riding horses even safer.

Part of the guidance includes passing people, riding horses or a horse drawn vehicle at speeds under 10mph and leaving at least 2 metres.

🚶‍♀️Allow at least 2 metres and keep to a low speed when passing someone walking in the road.
